What We Do
Founded in 2010 as DAF Group Oy, Nordic Bites Group Oy is a franchise-based restaurant conglomerate operating in the Nordic countries. Our mission is to expand our restaurant networks while ensuring profitability and upholding our core values. With a steadfast commitment to operational efficiency, food safety, consistent quality, and customer-centric service, we look to set new benchmarks in the industry.

History
Our Story
The origins of Nordic Bites Group Oy, or just Nordic Bites, reach back to the founding of one of its current subsidiaries, Subcom Oy. During 2006, the newly founded company opened its first Subway store in Vaasa, Finland, and the company has grown significantly since then. It now operates more than 40 stores located all over Finland. Another subsidiary of Nordic Bites, DA Finland Oy, has been responsible for the development of the Subway franchise in Finland since 2010, expanding the total restaurant network to more than 180 (and rising) restaurants since its inception.
Subcom Oy and DA Finland Oy were acquired by DAF Group Oy in 2019, with the group later changing its name to Nordic Bites Oy.
The development contracts for Sweden were acquired in 2022, with Resty Nordic Ab handling the development obligations. Subcom Sweden Ab was founded soon after. The company began acquiring restaurants in 2023 and has since then been swiftly expanding its business throughout Sweden.

Our Group in Details
Currently Nordic Bites consists of four subsidiaries. Subcom Oy and Subcom Sweden Ab own and operate our own Subway® restaurants in Finland and Sweden respectively. Based on a long-term business development contract with Subway®, our Business Development subsidiaries DA Finland Oy and Resty Nordic Ab together manage more than 340 restaurants. As of 2024, 185 of those are in Finland and 160 in Sweden.
Since 2023 our business has been bolstered by private equity company Juuri Partners.
